Your information, handled with care.

Custom Image is a 501(c)(3) school. This notice explains what we collect, why, who can see it, and the rights you have — in plain language. It isn't legal advice, and we'll update it as our programs grow.

What we collect & why

Only what we need to help you.

When you express interest
Your name, email, phone, ZIP, and the trade and pathway you're interested in — so we can follow up and review your request. We don't ask for sensitive financial information at this stage.
When you enroll
Your legal name, date of birth, contact and emergency-contact details, and the agreements you accept — the information a school needs to enroll and support a student.
Who sees it & how it's protected

Limited access, real safeguards.

Who can see it
Only Custom Image staff who need it to do their jobs, and our secure database provider acting on our behalf under a written agreement. We don't sell your information.
How we protect it
Encryption in transit and at rest, role-based access on a need-to-know basis, and an audit log that records who views or changes records.
How long we keep it
Interest data from people who don't enroll is deleted after a set retention window. Student education records are kept under our records policy.
Your choices

You're in control.

You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete your interest information, or opt out of future contact. Just email hello@customimage.org.

For enrolled students · FERPA

Your rights once you're a student.

Custom Image receives funding from the U.S. Department of Education. Once you enroll and are in attendance, your school records are protected as education records under the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA). At a postsecondary school, these rights belong to you, the student.

Inspect & review
You may review your education records; we'll respond within a reasonable time (generally 45 days).
Request amendment
If you believe a record is inaccurate, you may ask us to correct it, with a hearing if we decline.
Control disclosure
We won't disclose personally identifiable information from your records without your written consent, except where FERPA permits — for example, to school officials (including service providers acting for us) with a legitimate educational interest.
Disclosures logged
We keep a record of disclosures of your education records, as FERPA requires.
File a complaint
You may file a complaint with the U.S. Department of Education's Student Privacy Policy Office.
If you're under 18 and applying, please involve a parent or guardian. At a postsecondary program, FERPA rights transfer to the student upon enrollment. This summary is a notice, not legal advice; the full rules are at 34 CFR Part 99.
